What are the daily office hours?
Our office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM and Friday 8:00AM to 12:00PM. We close for lunch daily 12:00PM to 1:00PM.
Why do you need to see my insurance card at every visit?
We must view your insurance card at each visit to ensure that all information is the same as what we have in our system.
Do I need to bring in my old records and how do I get them sent!
Your prior records can be helpful, especially if the doctor's medical decision-making will be based upon information contained in your medical history. You can contact your previous doctor's office before your visit with us and have the records sent to our office. You can also complete a form at your visit with us and we will fax it to the other office for release of the records (you will need to provide their fax number).
Why do you recommend that I arrive 15-20 minutes before my scheduled appointment time?
Arriving early allows you time to complete any necessary paperwork and gives our receptionists time to process your chart and any changes to your information. We strive to keep your wait time to a minimum and this makes it easier to keep our schedules running on time to better accommodate our patients.
What should I do for a prescription refill?
It's easiest to request prescriptions and refills during your office visit. You can call the nurse voicemail box, and please speak slowly and clearly. You'll need to leave the following information:
|
Your complete name, including the spelling of your last name |
|
Your date of birth |
|
The name of the medication, its strength and dosage |
|
Your pharmacy name and telephone number |
|
Your daytime telephone number |
|
Any allergies you have to medications |
Please remember that in certain situations, good medical care requires the benefit of a patient examination before a prescription is issued.
Timesaving tip: Be good to yourself and minimize frustration by calling your pharmacy ahead of time to make sure the prescription is ready for you to pick up!
What should I do to obtain test results?
While most tests are routine for medical staff, to a patient, they may seem anything but routine. We understand how nerve-racking it can be to wait for results. For your privacy and convenience, be assured that if the situation warrants, we will call you to discuss your test results. Please keep in mind that it can take up to 14 days for us to get the results of your pap spear. This information will be mailed to you.
How do I get a copy of my medical records from your office?
